Baltimore Unbundling Project
Foundation Surety & Insurance Solutions, LLC is a proud partner of R. E. Harrington Plumbing & Heating who has been chosen by the City of Baltimore Department of Public Works to spearhead the groundbreaking Mentor and Training Program. The Unbundling Initiative Pilot Program will transition Baltimore-based Small Minority and Women Business Enterprises M/WBEs from subcontractors to Future General Contractors. This pilot is the first of its kind worldwide and will change the trajectory of contracting practices to holistically help the City of Baltimore’s economy and assist M/WBE and Baltimore-based firms by affording them opportunities in contracting. On Wed Aug 7th, the Board of Estimates approved the award of $26.7 million to R.E. Harrington.
Foundation’s role in the partnership is to assist the future general contractors with their surety bonding requirements.
